Member Services Committee

Shop.org Member Services Committee Mission Statement
Shop.org Member Services Committee is responsible for providing input as to the value proposition for members; articulating the value of Shop.org to members and prospective members; and be committed to establishing Shop.org as the leading internet and mulitchannel organization.

Member Services Committee members are required to:
• Keep their Shop.org membership in good-standing.
• Join monthly committee calls (one hour long) to discuss Shop.org content needs and discuss topics and speakers.   Members must attend at least five meetings a year.
• Attend at least one of the key event (the Shop.org Annual Summit, NRF BIG Show, or the Shop.org Online Merchandising Workshop) and share information from members you meet with the full committee.  Please note that Committee members to do not receive free passes to the event.
• Be available as requested and appropriate to represent Shop.org (meetings, conf calls, press calls, etc.) as passionate members who represent the best of our membership and organization.
• Make at least five calls/emails per year, as directed by the Shop.org staff and in support of official Committee outreach (e.g.: renewal calls)
• Participate in the review and analysis of member surveys from Shop.org.
• Share information about Shop.org within their organizations.

In addition to the requirements above, we encourage all members to also:
• Provide at least one post (written or video) a year in support of the value of membership and Shop.org programs/events, to appear on the Shop.org blog (if your company policy allows)
• Attend industry events and talk to members of other organizations about what motivates and inspires them, and why they find that membership valuable. Share this information back to the committee.
• Participate in committee activities and projects outside of the monthly meetings.
