Shop.org Member Services Committee Mission Statement

Shop.org Member Services Committee is responsible for providing input as to the value proposition for members; articulating the value of Shop.org to members and prospective members; and be committed to establishing Shop.org as the leading internet and mulitchannel organization.


Member Services Sub-Committee Mission Statement


The Member Services Sub-committee of the Member Services Committee is dedicated to reviewing and revamping Shop.org’s membership programs and services by realizing the ever-changing world of eCommerce. The Committee will ensure that Shop.org’s programs and benefits are the most useful and applicable to the needs of the Shop.org Community and providing complete satisfaction. This group will:

i. Provide and evaluate Shop.org membership programs
ii. Provide input to the annual membership survey
iii. Develop avenues for continued feedback and improvement
iv. Develop member recognition awards and services (Newcomers’ Reception ec.)
v. Work closely with recruitment and retention group to message these services to all members

Retention Committee Mission Statement

The Retention Committee is dedicated to improving retention of members specifically by creating a personal connection with new and renewing members. This personal connection includes a commitment by our members to reach out (via phone, email, in person at events) to members and engage with them. Our Committee aims to:
i. improve the retention rate of the members we connect with
ii. improve member activity level with existing Shop.org services and events
iii. collect feedback for use by the Membership Committee and staff. From time to time, the Committee may also make recommendations on broader retention issues to the Member Services Committee and staff.

Recruitment Committee Mission Statement


The Recruitment Committee of the Member Services Committee is dedicated to promoting and educating potential Shop.org members on the benefits of membership and in turn obtaining new members to grow member base. The Committee will:
i. Provide input to annual prospective member marketing efforts
ii. Provide and develop avenues for outreach opportunities and promoting the organization
iii. Assist in reinstating inactive Shop.org Members
