Greetings Shop.org members! Last year's inaugural Marketing Month opened to rave reviews from both our retail members and sponsors so we decided to do it again. Throughout the month of May, Shop.org will be featuring four webinars, one half-day workshop, a marketing vendor guide, numerous video marketing tips, six networking dinners and other Shop.org-produced materials that facilitate networking, education, and thought leadership. New for this year, we will be having an in-person half-day workshop that will cover a variety of marketing related content that will help our retail members improve their business goals. This workshop will take place the afternoon of May 3 in New York City and will be immediately followed by a Shop.org Regional Dinner. Space will be extremely limited The theme of the 2011 Marketing Month is to make sure that your online marketing tools are optimized in regards to three main disciplines of marketing: Acquisition, Branding, and Retention. We will be looking in-depth at some of the most popular marketing tools (search, email, social, mobile) and share tactical best practices to ensure success in each of these three disciplines. Our members will come out of the entire Marketing Month experience (webinars, the workshop, regional dinners, etc.) with a new understanding how each of these tools can be used to help your individual business needs.
