The 2010 Shop.org Annual Summit was truly bigger and better and we want to thank everyone who played a part in creating such a successful event. The Summit kicked off on Monday with our first interactive boot camp that focused on Social Media and SEO. More than 250 people attended the boot camp with many bringing lap tops to fully take advantage of this session as our speakers provided practical and tactical tips they could take back to the office with them and put into action. After the boot camp, we celebrated the official kick-off of the Summit and EXPO Hall with our Opening Reception. Attendees appreciated the opportunity to mix and mingle with the "who's who" of digital retail and network with colleagues while viewing innovative eCommerce solutions and services on the EXPO Hall floor. Tuesday and Wednesday featured inspiring keynote presentations in the morning, followed by an afternoon filled with concurrent sessions, one-on-one tutorials, roundtable discussions, and numerous networking opportunities. Our keynote speakers shared unique perspectives on some of the most popular topics in the world of digital commerce. Sucharita Mulpuru brought it all together by sharing a few of the highlights of our just released State of Retailing Online Report while introducing our keynote presenters. Each afternoon focused on four major tracks: Mobile, Cross Channel Optimization, Tactics and The Customer Experience. The combination of rapid fire deliveries, panel discussions, and individual presentations offered something for just about everyone. When our attendees wanted to dig a little deeper into what was covered, they could join the conversation at one of our over 50 roundtable discussions on a variety of topics throughout the Summit. Last but not least, over 15 doctors participated in our “Doctors Is In” individual website critiques and presented specific advice to help participants who were suffering from low conversion. Who could possibly forget the unprecedented networking during Tuesday night’s dinner at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium? While learning is paramount to the Annual Summit, the Shop.org community definitely knows how to have fun. We would like to thank our attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors for making the 2010 Shop.org Annual Summit a great blend of learning, networking, and fun.
