How do I register for the Online Merchandising Workshop?

Why do I have to provide my email address for registration?
It's important that you provide your email address so that we can reach you with updates about the event. About a week prior to the event, we will email you your registration bar code which helps expedite your time spent checking in onsite. We also send attendee update emails which have the final details of various sessions and events.
Should I register all persons from my company at once?
Separate registrations must be completed for each person registering - either online or with a form. At the end of your online registration, you have the opportunity to register another person.
How many people from my company can attend?
* Limit of Two Passes Per Company
This event is limited to a total of 300 attendees in order to preserve the intimate, information-sharing environment associated with Shop.org workshops. To give all retail member companies a fair opportunity to attend, each member company is initially limited to securing two passes. Members who want to send three or more representative may place the additional representatives on a waiting list. It is likely that wait-listed attendees will be able to attend, but we cannot guarantee their attendance at this time. Passes for individuals on the wait list will be released on or before Monday, June 30, 2008, based on the order they were placed on the wait list.
How should I pay for my registration?
You can pay by credit card or if you wish to pay by check, please send your check with a copy of your registration form (contact registrar@shop.org for the form) and mail it to:

Can I register onsite?
Yes, but we recommend that you register in advance to take advantage of discounted rates and to ensure that you secure a seat, as we expect the event to fill up quickly. It is likely that there will not be space to register by the time we are onsite.

Business and business casual attire are both suitable. More casual attire is acceptable for the evening events.

The registration fee is based on a few factors: when you register and your company's membership level - retail membership or retail non-membership.

There are several different deadlines for registration. The sooner you register for the event, the less expensive your registration will be. We offer full passes for the workshop.

TRANSFERRING OR CANCELING PASSES
What if I can't attend after I have registered for the event? What happens to my badge?
Anyone who registered for a free pass and cannot attend will need to cancel or transfer their pass to a co-worker prior to the event date. If they cannot attend and do not cancel formally in writing to shopjuly08@compusystems.com, or transfer their pass, then they will be assessed a $325.00 no-show fee.
You may transfer your pass onsite as long as the original contact has not checked in. The cancellation deadline is July 7, 2008 for a full refund.
HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR PASS
Any attendee who wishes to transfer a pass, must follow this procedure:
- A transfer may be completed online. To do this go to the registrant's original e-confirmation, which was sent via email. Click on the "Direct Modify Link" button within the body of that e-confirmation and make your changes. Or you may send an email to shopjuly08@compusystems.com. Please be sure to add the name of the person to whom you are transferring your pass.
- If the transfer must take place onsite, then the substitute registrant should bring the e-confirmation issued to the original registrant.
- Transfers and substitutions cannot be made once the pass holder has checked in to the event or sub-event.
REGISTRATION POLICIES
Important: The Online Merchandising Workshop is a Shop.org retailer-only event. Shop.org reserves the right to deny admittance to this event to non-retailers. A non-retailer is anyone who seeks a business-to-business relationship (client, pertner, etc.) with retailers. Shop.org makes every effort to notify as soon as possible non-retailers who register for a retailer-only event by accident. If you have any questions about your retailer/non-retailer status, please contact us before you make travel plans for this event.
Please be aware: in order to protect the interest of our exhibitors who have made a considerable investment to reach our Shop.org event attendees, we do have a "Suitcasing" Policy which prohibits non-exhibitor vendors from soliciting sales or sales leads on the tradeshow floor, in the aisles, or in the lobbies, and/or representing their services or soliciting Shop.org attendees for conflicting social activities or in the Shop.org event hotels.
Shop.org 2008 Online Merchandising Workshop registration will not be processed without a credit card hold or FULL PAYMENT.
Badges and credentials will be available for pick up onsite at the registration area during hours of operation. Please print your e-confirmation and bring it onsite to expedite this process. Be prepared to show identification in order to pick up your badge and credentials.
Transfers or substitution of a pass to a colleague from the SAME RETAIL MEMBER COMPANY as the original pass holder can be made online through the link provided in your e-confirmation. Registration and badges cannot be shared among attendees and transfers and substitutions cannot be made on a pass holder has checked into the event. This includes the reception and dinner events. To request a transfer or substitution send an email by July 7, 2008 to shopjuly08@compusystems.com.
JULY 7 CANCELLATION DEADLINE: To receive a full refund, cancellation requests must be received (via email to registrar@shop.org) no later than July 7, 2008
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FREE PASS HOLDERS: Persons who register for a FREE PASS but do not sign-in on site, transfer or cancel their registration will be assessed a $325 "no show fee" to help offset costs incurred by Shop.org based on expected attendance. All other attendees who were charged for registration but do not sign in, transfer or cancel their registration prior to the above deadline will not receive a refund.
Registrants are responsible for their hotel and travel accommodations.
Registration will be accepted onsite if space is available.
Final details about the Shop.org 2008 Online Merchandising Workshop event and registration hours will be available online no later than July 7, 2008. A credit card is required to redeem a complimentary pass. A $325 "no show" fee.
Registration fees are subject to verification of your company's membership status.
Notes:
• A credit card is required to redeem a complimentary pass. A $325 "no show fee" will be charged in the event that the complimentary pass registrant does not sign in onsite. Each retail member company is entitled to one complimentary pass which must be claimed by the Early Registration Deadline of 5/16/08. Each additional pass will be charged at the prevailing rate depending on the timing of registration. It is the responsibility of you and your colleagues to determine who receives the free pass.
• Online registration ends on July 13, 2008. Onsite registration will be held only if space is available.
